The Emir of Kano, His Highness Aminu Ado Bayero, has called on Nigerians to remain steadfast in prayers for peace, unity, and the nation’s prosperity, emphasizing the need for collective spiritual support to achieve lasting stability and economic growth.
The Emir disclosed during a special prayer gathering organized for the country at large, attended by hundreds of followers of the Qadiriyya Islamic movement under the leadership of Sheikh Mukaddam Dr. Baffa Babba Dan’agundi.
Abubakar Balarabe Kofar Naisa, Press Secretary to the Emir, in a statement on Monday, said the event took place at the Emir’s Palace in Nassarawa, Kano.
Speaking at the occasion, the Emir said: “This gathering is dedicated to offering prayers for our nation, Nigeria, for lasting peace, unity, and sustainable economic development. We must continue to seek Allah’s intervention in all our affairs as a people.”
He further added that special prayers were also offered for the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that “we pray Almighty Allah to assist him, grant him wisdom and good fortune, and enable him to succeed in stabilizing the nation’s economy and bringing an end to insecurity across the country.”
The Emir Bayero also commended the efforts of the Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, noting that “his commitment to fostering unity among the people is commendable and deserves the continued prayers and support of all citizens.”
In his earlier remarks, Sheikh Mukaddam Dr. Baffa Babba Dan’agundi,nim, who led the prayers, explained that the gathering was organized following the completion of the holy month of Ramadan.
According to him, “We came together at this significant period after Ramadan to offer collective prayers for our nation, seeking Allah’s guidance, peace, stability, and economic prosperity for Nigeria.”
The prayer session witnessed the presence of hundreds of Qadiriyya faithful, all united in seeking divine intervention for national peace, security, and sustainable development.
