Madrid Coach Says Mbappé Is Unaffected By The Swedish Probe

Carlo Ancelotti, Kylian Mbappé’s coach, stated that the media uproar around a possible rape accusation has no bearing on his player.

On Friday, the 25-year-old star worked out with his Madrid colleagues.

The player is coping with rumors that he is being looked into criminally in the capital of Sweden.

Media reports on Mbappé have been deemed “irresponsible” by his representatives. His legal counsel claims they are untrue.

“Like I previously stated, these are just conjectures based on my daily conversations with the guys. The player is functioning really well, is content and joyful, and I don’t see him being negatively impacted by anything at all when I see him every day.”

In a brief statement, Swedish prosecutors said that a rape had been reported to the police at the hotel where Mbappé was staying but didn’t name any suspect.

During his time off from club and country last week, Mbappé made a quick visit to Stockholm.

“Everyone gets to chose what they want to do while they relax on his prearranged days off. Where the players prefer to rest is irrelevant to me. I went to London for two days without asking anyone’s permission. I don’t run a travel company that can plan the player’s vacations.”

On Saturday, when Real Madrid plays their La Liga match against Celta Vigo, Kylian Mbappé will be back in the spotlight.

Mbappe sustained a late-September thigh injury. However, he only missed one match while playing for Real Madrid; he came on as a substitute in a shocking 1-0 Champions League loss to Lille.
