The NBA 2K25 season 2 soundtrack album features Afrobeats.
The NBA 2K25 season 2 soundtrack album features a collaboration between British rapper Central Cee and Nigerian superstar Asake.
One of the tracks on Asake’s third album, “Lungu Boy,” is “Wave.” Other American musicians that have songs on the NBA 2K25 soundtrack season 2 album include Key Glock and Lil Pete.
The album features only one Afrobeats performer, Asake, marking the artist’s subsequent performances after Adekunle Gold’s ‘Party No Dey Stop’ with Zinoleesky, which was featured on the NBA 2K24 soundtrack album.
Asake is the third Nigerian pop sensation to appear on the soundtrack CD of the well-known game, whose music includes Adekunle Gold and Burna Boy.
Asake is one of the most prolific hitmakers in Afrobeat, and his inclusion is a reflection of his prominence as a global superstar. Asake has seen commercial success since entering the mainstream in 2022 as a result of several hit tracks that have topped charts and broken records.
With his ‘Lungu Boy’ tour, which just ended, Asake sold out a number of prestigious locations, including Madison Square Garden, Toyota Arena, TD Gardens, and Capital One Arena. He also made history by being the third Nigerian performer to open the O2 Arena.
