The Katsina State Government has expressed its resolve to construct 70 new secondary schools to expand access, reduce congestion, and provide quality education for all children.
Radda announced on Tuesday during the 2025 World Teachers’ Day celebration postponed from last year due to scheduling constraints, describing teachers as the backbone of human capital development and the foundation of a strong and progressive society.
The Governor congratulated teachers across the state, acknowledging their dedication, resilience, and sacrifices in shaping the future of the younger generation.
In addition, he said the state government will provide electric motorcycles to rural teachers to complement existing rural incentive allowances for those serving in hard-to-reach communities to ease transportation challenges.
According to him, education remains the cornerstone of our administration, adding that Sustainable development and economic progress can only be achieved through a sound education system driven by dedicated and motivated teachers.
“In addition to the new schools, we are embarking on massive rehabilitation of existing facilities to create a conducive environment for teaching and learning,” he added.
“This will improve the student–teacher ratio and ensure effective learning delivery across the state,” he explained.
