The Dutse Emirate Development Association (DEDA) has commended the Jigawa State Government under the leadership of Governor Umar Namadi for appointing the Emir of Dutse, His Royal Highness Alhaji Hamim Nuhu Muhammad Sanusi, as the Amirul Hajj for the 2026 Hajj exercise.
In a statement signed on Friday by DEDA’s PRO II, Comrade Musbahu Basirka, the association described the appointment as thoughtful and inclusive, noting that it reflects careful consideration of experience, moral standing, and the vital role of traditional institutions in fostering unity, discipline, and service.
According to the statement, the Emir of Dutse is widely respected for his calm leadership style, deep understanding of Islamic values, and consistent commitment to peace, harmony, and social responsibility, adding that these qualities make him well-suited to provide guidance and coordination during the sacred pilgrimage.
DEDA expressed confidence that the Emir would serve as a worthy ambassador of Jigawa State and Nigeria, projecting values of humility, orderliness, and respect throughout the Hajj operations.
It added that his longstanding record of service inspires trust and underscores the importance of entrusting public responsibilities to individuals of proven integrity.
The association also praised the state government for constituting what it described as a balanced and capable Hajj committee that reflects fairness, inclusiveness, and respect for the diverse emirate structures within Jigawa State.
DEDA noted that the development highlights the importance of moral leadership, cooperation, and unity of purpose in matters of faith and public service, stressing that leadership anchored on integrity and respect for institutions yields broader societal benefits.
The association prayed for a successful, peaceful, and well-coordinated 2026 Hajj exercise and assured the Jigawa State Government of its continued goodwill and support.
