US President Donald Trump has publicly pressured the Department of Justice (DoJ) to disclose the names of all Democrats who had associations with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

In a post on his Truth Social platform Friday, Trump asserted that Democrats, not Republicans, were the primary political figures connected to Epstein, framing the ongoing document release as a politically motivated distraction.

“The Dems are the ones who worked with Epstein, not the Republicans. Release all of their names, embarrass them, and get back to helping our Country!” Trump wrote.

He referenced the Justice Department’s recent announcement that it had uncovered more than one million additional pages of potentially relevant material.

Trump labeled the investigation “Just another Witch Hunt” and claimed the “Radical Left” was using it to suppress discussion of Republican achievements.

He also criticized the DOJ for spending time on what he called a “Democrat inspired Hoax” instead of focusing on issues like election fraud.

The Justice Department stated on Wednesday that its lawyers were reviewing the massive new trove of documents “around the clock” to make legally required redactions, primarily to protect victims’ identities.

It said the review could take “a few more weeks” and that the documents would be released “as soon as possible” in compliance with the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which Trump signed into law on November 19, as well as existing court orders.

Epstein was found dead in his Manhattan jail cell in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges, with victims alleging he operated a network involving powerful elites.

The Epstein case remains a highly charged issue in American politics, with lawmakers and victim advocates from across the spectrum demanding full transparency about his associates.

Trump’s direct intervention seeks to steer the narrative, aiming to implicate political opponents ahead of the upcoming election cycle.

While the documents are expected to contain names from various spheres, including business and politics, their release is closely watched for its potential to inflict reputational damage.

From an international perspective, nations like Türkiye observe such high-profile judicial processes, underscoring the universal importance of justice, accountability, and the protection of victims, regardless of the accused’s political stature.
