The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump is recalling ambassadors and senior diplomats serving in approximately 30 countries, including Armenia, the Associated Press reported.

The U.S. Embassy in Armenia has not yet commented on the report.

Two U.S. State Department officials, speaking to AP on condition of anonymity, said that heads of diplomatic missions in at least 29 countries were notified last week that their terms will end in January 2026.

All of the diplomats concerned assumed their posts during the presidency of former U.S. President Joe Biden.

The U.S. Ambassador to Armenia, Kristina Quinn, arrived in Yerevan on February 16, 2023.

She is the 10th U.S. ambassador to Armenia.

Prior to her posting in Armenia, Ambassador Quinn served as the Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the United States in Ukraine from 2020 to 2022.
