Ten months after the birth of their son Halo, American rapper DDG has announced that he and singer-actress Halle Bailey have parted ways.
In the late hours of October 3, 2024, a sincere message was posted on DDG’s Instagram story containing the news.
He penned, “Dear allies and backers, Halle and I have made the decision to part ways after giving it some thought and having some really emotional chats. Though we don’t think it’s the wisest course of action for either of us, this decision was not simple. I treasure the time we’ve spent together and our mutual love.”
DDG expressed how committed he and Halle are to co-parenting their baby. Halo as well as preserving a friendship.
“Our love for one other is everlasting and pure, even with the changes in our relationship. We still admire one other and are closest friends. We treasure the relationship we’ve created and the wonderful times we’ve had as we concentrate on our unique journeys and our responsibilities as co-parents. We kindly request your cooperation and understanding as we manage this change. I appreciate all of your support and affection. – DDG,” he continued.
Despite his good intentions, DDG’s tweet did not go down well with social media users, who flocked to his page to attack him.
A commenter who was upset said, “Who do you think you are? You should have given her a baby if you knew you wouldn’t stick around! She will level up if you remember this,” another person replied, and “If you’re not with Halle, we fucking hate you.”
Several Instagram users showed their skepticism by saying, “I don’t trust it until Halle verifies it. He is an insatiable YouTuber. All they want is attention and pranks. 🤷🏾♀️”
After months of anticipation on social media, the couple announced the arrival of her first child in December 2022. Their breakup occurred ten months later. Bailey posted a cute picture to Instagram of her little baby boy, who was wearing a gold bracelet with his name etched on it, in her pink manicured hand.
Bailey added in her post, “Even though it’s only a few days into the new year, the greatest thing 2023 could have done for me was bring me my son.” “Halo, welcome to the world. 🥰👼🏽 ✨The globe is in a desperate attempt to know you.”
