The Performing Musicians Employers’ Association of Nigeria (PMAN) has commended the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, for approving a N20 million medical support fund for veteran Nigerian musician Innocent Michael Onyebuchi, widely known as Daddy Fresh.

PMAN described the governor’s gesture as a profound demonstration of compassion and a strong commitment to safeguarding Nigeria’s creative industry, particularly by honouring pioneers who have made significant contributions to its growth. The approved funds will assist in addressing the medical needs of the ailing artist.

In a statement signed by the Acting General Secretary, Elizabeth Gabriel, Esq., the association also acknowledged the pivotal role played by Hon. Dr. Martins Okey Justice (J. Martins), the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Entertainment and Tourism, whose intervention and follow-up efforts were crucial in securing the support.

PMAN equally extended appreciation to Naijagal for amplifying the appeal for assistance, fans and Nigerians who have continued to offer prayers and encouragement to Daddy Fresh.

The association called on stakeholders in the entertainment industry and the general public to continue praying for Daddy Fresh’s quick and complete recovery.
