The Peoples Democeatic Party (PDP) has issued a certificate of expulsion to the Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, former governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose, the former National Secretary of the party, Samuel Anyanwu for anti-party activities.
Others who were issued certificate of expulsion are; former PDP National Organizing Secretary, Umar Bature, former National Legal Adviser, Kamaldeen Ajibade, Mao Ohuabunwa, factional Board of Trustees (BoT) chairman, Dan Orbih from Edo State, Imo PDP Chairman, Austine Nwachukwu, Abia PDP Chairman Amah Nnanna, and PDP South-south Zonal Secretary, Turnah George.
The party stalwarts had been expelled at the party National Convention held in Ibadan, Oyo state on the 15th of November, 2025.
Addressing newsmen shortly after their meeting that lasted about three hours, the PDP National Chairman, Tanimu Turaki said that with the certificate, it will be easier for them to identify with other political party of their choice.
“When they go to register with other political parties in Nigeria, they will show these certificates as proof that they are no longer members of the PDP, and so those parties will not accuse them of trying to belong to more than one political party,” Turaki said.
