According to a directive issued by the Ministry for Basic and Secondary Education, all public and private schools are to shut down from Monday, 24 November 2025 until further notice.

The ministry emphasized that the measure is a proactive step to ensure the safety of learners and educational personnel amid heightened security concerns.
