The Member representing Tarauni Local Government Area in the Kano State House of Assembly, Hon. Kabiru Dahiru Sule (ADS), on Tuesday, announced the completion of the renovation of Shakatafi Health Clinic in Daurawa Babban Layi Ward.
The project, according to him, involved refurbishing the clinic’s buildings, repairing critical sections, and providing essential medical equipment to improve healthcare delivery in the community.
Speaking to the Information Officer of Tarauni Local Government, Adamu Iliyasu Hotoro, Hon. Sule said the initiative was part of his broader commitment to fulfill campaign promises, especially in enhancing access to quality healthcare across the ten wards of his constituency.
He explained that since its establishment many years ago, the clinic had not undergone any major renovation until now.
“This project is part of our ongoing efforts to ensure our people have access to efficient healthcare services,” he added.
The lawmaker expressed appreciation to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Jibril Isma’il Falgore and the NNPP leadership in Tarauni for their support in driving community development.
He also commended the contractor for delivering a standard-compliant renovation.
Reacting, the Councillor representing Daurawa Ward, Hon. Nasiru Muhammad Mula, thanked the lawmaker, noting that the project had been long-awaited.
“This clinic plays a vital role in providing health services to the community. We are grateful to the Honourable Member for making this a reality,” he said.
Similarly, the Head of Health Services in Tarauni LGA, Muktar Datti Gwarzo, described the project as a milestone that would ease the burden of patients, particularly pregnant women and children, in accessing medical care.
