According to reports, Real Madrid want to sign several Premier League players, including Trent Alexander-Arnold, the outstanding player for Liverpool.
The Independent claims that Madrid is interested in signing right-back Alexander-Arnold of Liverpool, midfielder Rodri of Manchester City, and center back Cristian Romero of Tottenham or defender William Saliba of Arsenal.
The story goes on to say that Madrid entered a new phase when they are prepared to show off their financial might after purchasing Kylian Mbappe in the summer. They might then make a move for Rodri, who is rumored to be eager to go back to his native Spain. Alexander-Arnold and Los Blancos were connected for a large portion of the summer, but no deal materialized. But since his contract expires in 2025, switching to the Liga side would be an option.
Romero, 26, and Saliba, 23, are both established starters for their respective north London teams; their contracts expire in the summer of 2027. It’s unclear if Madrid will make an effort to hire one of them.
Tuesday night marks the start of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad’s Champions League championship defence in the recently restructured competition, as Los Blancos get ready for the future in terms of transfer signings. The club plays Stuttgart at home.
