The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has approved Max Air as the designated airline for transporting Kano State pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for the 2025 Hajj.
The Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, said the decision was made during a stakeholders’ meeting and the signing of an agreement with airlines at NAHCON headquarters in Abuja.
He said the selection of Max Air reflects NAHCON’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and comfort for all pilgrims undertaking this sacred journey.
The DG further announced that the airlift of intending pilgrims from Nigeria to Saudi Arabia would commence on 6 May 2025.
Expressing his satisfaction with the extensive preparations, the DG Kano Pilgrims Welfare Board assured that all necessary arrangements had been made to ensure a smooth and comfortable journey for the pilgrims.
Danbappa also urged those who have not yet submitted their international passports to do so promptly before the deadline to avoid any delays.
The Board reassures Kano State pilgrims of a seamless experience both at home and abroad.
