2023 Election: Gawuna vows to sustain security in Kano

Kano State Deputy Governor and the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial flagbearer candidate, Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna at a Townhall meeting with Governorship Candidates organized by the Bayero University Kano and 24 other partners including media and Non-Governmental Organisations held at the Sa’adu Zungur Auditorium, Mambayya House vowed to sustain the security and peace being enjoyed in the State, if elected as Governor in the 2023 general elections.

Hassan Musa Fagge, the Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor in a statement on Monday quoted him saying  “security brings development and prosperity to the society; therefore we would increase partnership with the security agencies in order to ensure that Kano people continue to coexist in peace and harmony.”

The APC governorship candidate added that his administration would also sustain the development of education through the provision of infrastructure, retraining of the teachers, and strengthening of the curriculum with vocational skills, entrepreneurial programs, and community participation.

He further explained to tap from the Solid Minerals Kano is endowed with as the effort will create jobs and increase internally generated revenue.

He also promised to continue to support youths and women through empowerment programs that will make them more productive.

Dr. Gawuna however gave assurances that serious attention will be given to the Health, Water, Agriculture, and Environmental sectors.
