Sequence to a Kano State High Court Ruling on Tuesday, the State Road and Traffic Agency KAROTA has vowed to arrest and prosecute anyone found operating a tricycle without the tracking device earlier introduced by the Agency.

KAROTA spokesperson, Nabilusi Abubakar in a statement made available to Stallion Times said High Court No. 18 presided over by Justice Jamilu Shehu on Tuesday dismissed a suit by one Abdullahi Mai sanko who filed a case against the agency claiming violation of his fundamental human rights and accusing the agency of failing to provide him the tracking device he paid for but instead was issued a sticker.

The agency during the hearing of the case proved that what it provided Mal. Abdullahi and others was indeed a tracking device and not as he claimed.

Convinced by KAROTA’S Evidences, Justice Shehu dismissed the petition and gave the agency the go ahead to continue with the issuance of the tracker.

The Managing Director, Hon. Baffa Babba Dan’agundi described the ruling as yet another victory for the agency in its efforts towards ensuring law and order on the State Roads.

He called on all tricycle operators and other commercial vehicle operators concerned to comply with the KAROTA law and ensure their vehicles are fully captured, failure to do so will lead to arrest and prosecution.
