The peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Sokoto State Chapter, in a press statement expressed gratitude to God for achieving victory in the recently concluded local Government election.
The release, signed and made available to journalists in Sokoto by the public relations office of the party, Nura Hausawa, said the Chairman and State Working Committee were very much appreciative of their party performance at the polls.
Also, the State Chairman, Alhaji Muhammadu Bello Aliyu Goronyo commended the steadfastness of the PDP supporters during the last Saturday’s election.
He said PDP supporters in the state were determined to give their maximum support and loyalty to Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal against all odds
According to the statement, the State Working Committee expressed satisfaction with the way the State Independent Electoral Commission conducted a free and fair election Local Government election. And commended the effort of Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal for his support and providing enabling environment for political parties to partake in the election.
The PDP state working Committee congratulated the newly elected local Government Chairmen for their Victory at the polls and called on the elected council chairmen to work hard so as to justify the confidence reposed on them by the electorate.
“You should use your meagre resources while in office to execute viable projects that are of beneficial to populace,” the statement said.
The PDPP commended people of the state for their utmost loyalty and support to the administration of Governor Aminu Waziri who according to them is working tirelessly to move the state to a greater height.
