A day after collapsing at the conclusion of a Serie A match, Evan Ndicka, a defender for Roma, was released from the hospital on Monday.

In a statement released on Monday, Roma stated that Ndicka appears to have had a collapsed left lung.

Multiple tests on Monday morning revealed no heart problems, and Ndicka was released from Santa Maria della Misericordia Hospital in Udine, Roma continued.

In the 71st minute, Ndicka collapsed to the ground away from the play and began pointing at his chest. Two minutes later, he was brought off on a stretcher, never losing consciousness, and gave a thumbs up to the fans.

However, the Roma vs. Udinese match, which was at 1-1, was called off.

Ndicka, an international player from Ivory Coast who is 24 years old, will undertake more tests back in Rome.
