PSAG Donates Maternal and Neo-natal Kits to KPHCMB

Kano State Government has reiterated readiness towards partnering with private sectors and other Non-Governmental Organizations (NOG) for the enhancement of the state’s health sector.

The Information officer, Kano State Primary Healthcare Management Board (KSPHMB), Maikudi Muhammad Marafa in a statement, Thursday, said the Executive Secretary KSPHMB, Dr. Tijjani Hussain disclosed on Thursday while receiving donations of Maternal and Neo-Natal delivery kits donated by an NGO under the auspices of “the Private Sector Advisory Group.”

Hussain stressed that, on their part, the Board has recruited health personnel and posted to rural areas with a view to enhancing health delivery services at all levels.

According to the statement, Dr Hussain commended the group for providing the materials and ensured of judicious utilization of the items especially at the rural Primary healthcare centres in the state.

Earlier in their separate remarks, the Project Leader, Mrs. Esther Adegunle and the Project Manager, Hajiya Rakiya Sule Tahir explained that, the donation of the materials to the board was a part of appreciation intervention package toward the implementation of the project being executed by the PSAG in supporting maternal and neo-natal health in five primary health centres across two local government areas of Kunchi and Makoda.

They assured for their continued support to the Board as part of effort to enhance the health sector especially on maternal and Neo-natal health in all the hard-to-reach Health centres in the state.
