The 33-year-old has struggled to earn playtime under the ex-Brighton & Hove Albion coach and fans believe it is time he left Stamford Bridge

Supporters have blamed Graham Potter for the downfall of Chelsea forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and implored the player to sign for Atletico Madrid in the January window.

On Tuesday, reports emerged from Spain that the La Liga outfit have named the 33-year-old Aubameyang as a possible target to replace Joao Felix, who is being linked with a half-season loan deal to Stamford Bridge.

Aubameyang, moved to Chelsea from Barcelona at the start of the season when the Blues were under the tutelage of German Thomas Tuchel, but he has struggled to nail a starting role under Potter, overall managing nine Premier League appearances and scoring one goal.

His last fixture for the Blues was in the 1-0 league defeat against Manchester City on January 5, when he came on for the injured Raheem Sterling but was later withdrawn for Omari Giraud-Hutchinson in the 68th minute.

Aubameyang later missed the trip to face Man City again but in the third-round fixture of the FA Cup where Chelsea suffered a humiliating 4-0 defeat at the Etihad on January 5.

Fans have taken to social media pages to urge the former Arsenal captain to take the Atletico challenge insisting he was being wasted under Potter.
