Jigawa State Police Commissioner, Mr Usman Sule Gomna urged people of the state to desist from joining the #End SARS Protest as the agitation appears to be threatening public peace and stability.
CP Usman Sule Gwamna made the called while briefing newsmen in his office in Dutse; “base on the reports from the scene of protests in other states, the situation has degenerated to killing, looting and violating the fundamental human right of millions of Nigerians”, he said.
CP Gwamna told Jigawa people that, the criminals are always waiting for any slight chance to ride upon to perpetuate their nefarious act, and such protest is always providing the opportunity, therefore avoiding it is better for the society.
He however revealed that, police in the state has succeeded in arresting four suspected armed robbers who killed a Vigilante group member, Babaji Amadu.
According to him, the arrested suspects were alleged to have on 5th October, 2020 killed the decease at a farm in Gwaram Local government Area of the state.
Other suspects arrested by the Command and presented to newsmen included Anas Ibrahim Wudil who specialized in stealing Groundfos Solar Pump, Mubarak Umar who specialist in stealing Solar panel and Wammi Sarkin Fulani who specializes in motorcycle theft.
The Police Commissioner assured people of Jigawa state, that the command will not relent its oars of fighting crimes and criminalities in the state.
