Police Assures of Adequate Security During Eid-el Fitr Celebrations in Kano

The Kano State Police Command under the leadership of CP Sama’ila Shu’aibu Dikko felicitates the good people of Kano State on celebrations of Eid-El Fitr and Worker’s Day in advance.

The Command in a statement, Saturday, by its spokesperson, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa enjoined the citizens to be law-abiding as adequate security arrangements have been made at various praying grounds and recreational centers in synergy with sister security agencies and other civil volunteers in the State for the enforcement of law and order.

According to the statement, the following security tips are advised to be observed;

  1. Worshippers going to Eid Praying Grounds are advised to avoid carrying unnecessary objects that may trigger suspicions or apprehension.
  2. Under-aged children and unlicensed persons are not allowed to operate Motor vehicles, Tricycles, and Motorcycles while going to Eid praying grounds and places of visit.
  3. Parents and Guardians should always accompany their children with adults while going to Eid Praying grounds to checkmate cases of missing children, accidents, or any unsolicited dealings.
  4. Any group or individual under whatever guise is warned to desist from any act or conduct that will cause a breach of peace and breakdown of Law and Order.

The Command warns that whoever is caught engaging in criminal activities will face the full wrath of the law.

The statement added that rigorous patrols and raids of criminal hideouts and black spots to complement” Operation Puff Adder” will continue to avert any breach of peace by criminals and miscreants throughout the State.

The CP in the statement reiterates that criminals will have no hiding place in Kano State.

While urging residents to continue to pray for the State, the Nation especially during the Holy Month of Ramadan, report incidences to the nearest Police Station, and not take laws into their hands, the statement advised that criminals should either repent or leave the State completely as no stone will be left unturned.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Sama’ila Shu’aibu Dikko, fsi on behalf of the entire officers and men of the command wishes the good people of Kano State serene festive periods.
