People living in Kano have been urged to always observe Covid-19 protocols to ensure healthy living in the society.

The Speaker, Kano State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Engr Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari mnse disclosed during an advocacy and assessment visit to Karaye Emirate Council, Friday, stressing that considering the magnitude of the pandemic at global level, it had become imperative for the house to compliment government efforts in awareness and mobilisation as a way of curtailing the spread of the virus.

Right Hon Engineer Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari further pointed out that fighting the pandemic is a collective responsibility of stakeholders.  

He commended Governor Ganduje for the proactive handling the pandemic which he said had gone a long way in curtailing its spread.

The Speaker also appealed to the Karaye Emirate Council to further step down the advocacy and mobilisation to the grassroots level to ensure total compliance with the protocol order of the Covid-19.

Rt Hon Chidari then appreciated the Emirate Council efforts of sequential prayers sessions for the peaceful coexistence of the state and socioeconomic development.

In his speech, the Emir of Karaye, Alhaji Ibrahim Abubakr II said the foresight efforts of the legislators in carrying out the onerous task of social mobilisation about Covid-19 is a sign that the legislators are fully committed to the well being of the people in the state and commended them.  

The Emir also described Governor Ganduje as a mam of principles and integrity worthy of emulation and applauded his ground breaking development programs and projects.

He then thanked the leadership of the State House of Assembly under the stewardship of Rt Hon Engr Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari and described him as a true democrat who champions people’s priority above his personal interest, adding that he should sustain the tempo.

The Speaker was in accompany of other House Leaders during the advocacy visit.
