Kano State Government has been called to continue accorded utmost priority to the sector with a view of achieving the implementation of the Project in the state.

The called was made by Mr. Adeniyi Ekisila an representative of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) made the remark at the opening of a 3-day Workshop for the management and staff of the State Primary Health Care Management Board (PHCMB) holding in Kaduna State.

This was disclosed in a press release issue to media by Maikudi Muhammad Marafa an Assistant Chief Information officer to Board.

According to him Kano state government shows its readiness toward the development for the Primary Health care in the state by establishing a Governing Board for the State Primary Health Care Management Board in the State.

On his part, the Executive Secretary of the State Primary Health Care Management Dr. Tijjani Hussaini represented by the Director Medical Services Dr. Imam Wada explained that the aim of the workshop is to orientated the members of the Governing Board on their roles and responsibilities toward the implementation of the Primary Health Care Under One Roof (PHCUOR) policy in the State.

He then commended National Primary Health Care Development Agency, Developmental Partners especially lafiya Project for their efforts in organizing the workshop.

In his remark the Chairman Governing Board Kano State Primary Health Care Management Board Sarkin Yakin Kano, Madakin Gaya Alhaji Wada Aliyu Gaya described the workshop as timely and reiterated commitment to support the process of Primary Health care Management Implementation in the State.

Various Papers on implementation of the program are expected to be presented during the 3-day workshop which was expected to be attended by the members of the Governing Board, Management staff of the State Primary Health Care Management Board as well as Development Partners are in attendance
