Libianca’s ‘People’ took the world by surprise when it became an international hit song. The R&B record which captures the everyday struggles of a that gives more than it takes as become the first Afrobeats cross-over single of 2023.

Libianca has recorded her first on the Billboard Hot 100 entry as ‘People’ debuts on NO. 91. This makes it only the second Afrobeats song on the chart alongside pacesetter Rema’s ‘Calm Down’ which has reached a new African record NO. 5 position.

Since its release, Libianca’s people have impressed in Nigeria where it has received a remix featuring Omah Lay and Ayra Starr. It has also recorded international success which includes a remix with American popstar Becky G.

‘People’ currently holds the record for the highest chart African song on the UK Official Singles Chart with a NO. 2 peak position.

The impressive feats the song has recorded are a testament to its quality which distinguished it and made it resonate with listeners. Her Billboard Hot 100 entry sees her become only the third female lead African artist to appear on the chart after Ghana’s Amaarae and Nigerian international sensation Tems.
