Koko Youth Educational Development Association (KOYEDA) celebrates Maryam Abubakar Koko on her confirmation as Professor of Entrepreneurship Development from the prestigious Usmanu Danfodio University, Sokoto.

“A Hausa Proverb says “barewa bata gudu danta shiyi rarrafe” Professor Maryam Koko is a daughter of Late Abubakar koko (Sarkin Yakin Gwandu) (the legend Master planer of blessed memory). 

Late Abubakar Koko was an epitome of peace and Justice, a great civil servant and an uncompromising Political icon of high repute.

Prof. Maryam Koko have done the Association and people of Koko Kebbi state proud being the first Professor of Entrepreneurship Development from Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara States respectively.

She is the 3rd female Professor across all disciplines and the first female Professor from Koko-Besse LGA, Kebbi state.

“Ma! Your academic achievements do not come to us as surprise considering your family background, tenancy and dogged interest in academia.

“It is a known fact that your father late Abubakar Koko dedicated his entire life developing human capacity of our people and we are happy you are wearing his shoes.

Late Sarkin Yakin Gwandu was the person who first started building structures in Abuja, including presidential villa and a host of ministries and security formations.

“We at KOYEDA are ever ready to partner with you to bring desired development to our teaming Youths particularly in the area of eentrepreneurship,” says Bashar Abdullahi Fircin the KOYEDA President.

We behalf of the executives and entire members of this great Association wish you Allah’s guidance and protection in your chosen career.

May he also give you the strength, wisdom and spirit of sacrifice to fulfil the dreams of our late father, Sarkin Yakin Gwandu Alh. Abubakar, the first Permanent Secretary, Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA).

 “Professor Maryam Koko we are indeed proud of your achievements,” the president of the Association, Fircin averred.
