Kano State Government has reaffirmed its determination to support individuals or organizations that are willing to contribute their quarter in development of education in the state.
According to a statement signed by Sunusi Abdullahi Kofar Na’isa, Public Relation Officer, Ministry for Higher Education, the Commissioner, Dr Mariya Bunkure renewed the pledge when members of the Governing Board of Aminu Kano College of Education who paid her a courtesy visit.
Dr. Mariya Bunkure accented that the Executive Governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje OFR, welcomes any organization that is willing to contribute their own quarter in uplifting the educational standard.
Dr. Mariya Bunkure commended the efforts of the Governing Board of the new College and assured the entourage of government support and assistance to the institution in order to achieve its laudable objectives, and of the open door policy of her Ministry to discuss issues relating to the development of education, the statement said.
The chairman of the Governing Board of propose Aminu Kano College of Education, Prof Tijjani Hassan Darma, highlighted some reasons for their visit among which are to brief the Honorable Commissioner on their readiness to establish a Collage of Education and to solicit government support in carrying out the college activities.
