Kebbi Governor Inspects Birnin Kebbi Township Road Project, Commends Contractors

Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris has expressed satisfaction with the standard and speed of the ongoing construction of Birnin Kebbi township roads.

The governor made this commendation while addressing Journalists shortly after inspecting the roads in Gwandangwaji area in the state capital.

The Governor commended both the State Ministry of Works and the contractor handling the work for a job well done.

Idris, also expressed joy over the work and promised to extend a similar gesture to the other three Emirates in the state, saying: “We have already flagged off Yauri township road, they will soon move to Zuru and Arugungu Emirates for the same project.”

He reiterated the readiness of his administration to prioritizing work in other sectors including; education, health and youth empowerment.

He explained that his administration would remain resolute in providing more infrastructure to ensure speedy development across the state.

Also speaking, the Commissioner for Works, Hon. Muslim Abdullahi Umar Farouk thanked the state Governor for finding them worthy to handle the work and assured that the work would be completed at the stipulated time.

The Governor was accompanied by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Yakubu Bala-Tafida, Special Adviser on the Pilgrims Board, Hon. Zayyanu Sanka, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Idris among others.
