Kano Pillars FC Set for Confederation Match in Dakar

The ninety-four people contingents of Kano pillars football club headed by the chairman Kano State Sports Commission, Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima arrived Dakar the capital city of Senegal yesterday after 31/2 hours journey from Malam Aminu Kano international airport Kano ahead of first leg match with ASC Jaraaf Football Club of Senegal for this year’s confederation cup tomorrow.

The delegations consists of State Commissioner of Youths  and Sports, Comrade Kabiru Ado Lakwaya, Chairman Sports Committee in the State Assembly, Alhaji Nura Alasan Rano, Special Adviser to the Governor on Sports Matters, Alhaji Kabiru Baita, State Chairman, Football Association, Alhaji Sharif Rabi’u Inuwa Ahlan and other sports stakeholders in the state.

The contingents were received by the Nigeria embassy officials in Senegal at the airport and then later took to their hotel.

The leader of the delegation who is also the Chairman, KSSC, Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima thanked Allah for successful journey and reminded the players to tightening their belts for a good result.

Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima then urged the players to remain focus and assured them that government and people of Kano state are behind them.

On his part, the Chairman of the Club, Alhaji Surajo Shaaibu Yahaya Jambul said board of the club and continental committee set up by governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje are working closely for the success of the team.

Speaking on behalf of the players, the captain of the team Rabi’u Ali said they were in Senegal for business and they would do anything humanly possible to get the maximum points in the game tomorrow.

He urged people in the state and teeming fans of the club across the globe to continue praying for them for the progress of the club.

The match is going to start today at 5pm local time at Stade Demba Diop stadium.
