Kano Pillars Fc Loss 2-1 to Enyimba Fc

Kano Pillars Football Club (sai masu gida) suffered a first defeat in the season after Enyimba beat them by 2-1 in the match day five today (Sunday) at Aba stadium in Abia state.

Anayo put the people’s Elephant front in the 21 minute of the game and Orok Gabriel complete the damages at 38 minutes.

The first half ended 2-0 in favour of the home side.

Before the restart of the second half “sai masu gida” made three substitutes where Rabi’u Ali, Ike Chinedu and David Ebuka gave way to Munkaila Musa, Abbas Rabi’u and Bright Silas.

In the 86 minutes of play, Fahad Usman restored the hope of the “sai masu gida” by reducing the tally to 2-1 via freekick.

In his post match interview, the Technical Adviser of Kano Pillars, Emmanuel Lionel Soccia said despite the loss, he is happy with performances of his players.  

He said his side didn’t get much chances in the game but that is how football is, you can win, loss or draw.

He said is not easy to play three matches in a week, adding that a little bit of fatigue affected his players.

The match was fantastic because both teams did their best and now, we are going back to Kaduna to start preparing how we are going to host Rivers United Fc in the match day six next week, Coach Emmanuel said.

In their separate remarks, Kano Pillars Football Club Captain, Rabi’u Ali and Abbas Rabi’u thanked God for a hitch free match and described the day as not their day and accept it in good fate.

They said, they are going to put the defeat at the back of their minds and concentrate on the challenges ahead of them.

The sai masu gida are expected to leave Aba Monday morning to the ancient city of Kano.
