Kano State House of Assembly on Wednesday passed into law 437 Billion Naira for the 2024 Kano State government Budget.
After Clerk of House, Bashir Idris Diso Presented the third reading of the Bill, Speaker, Hon. Jibril Isma’il Fangore said the budget was increased from the initial figure of 350 to 437 Billion Naira respectively.
The capital expenditure stands at 64% while recurrent is 36%.
Briefing newsmen, the Majority Leader of the house Alh. Lawan Hussaini Chediyar ‘Yan Gurasa said the budget was designed with an emphasis on Education, Health, Construction of roads in rural areas, Youth Entrepreneurship training, Agriculture, and water supply among other viable projects for community development in the state.
The Assembly adjourned sitting to 29th January 2024.
