Despite the legal verdict that caused confusion and apprehension for the nationwide All Progressive Congress ward congresses, the exercise was conducted smoothly in all 278 political wards in Jigawa state.
At some of the political wards visited by Stallion Times reporter, it was observed that, some of the leaders emerged through affirmation while some were elected through voting.
However up to the time of filing this story there was no single report of violence or alleged irregularities during the congress.
In his comment about the congresses, the Jigawa state Chairman of APC Ward Congress Committee, Mr China Onyekwere expressed his appreciation on the outcome of the congress on all 278 political wards in the state.
Mr. China who was sent to the state by APC national headquarter commended the party members in Jigawa state for exhibiting high sense of maturity and patriotism during the conduct of the congress.
He however described the success of the congress as a step forward towards APC overwhelming victory in the 2023 general election.
