The Norway striker has scored nine goals in eight days, and is back in exhilarating form ahead of the final months of the season

Erling Haaland is in no mood to stop scoring and bagged yet another hat-trick as Manchester City crushed Burnley 6-0. The unstoppable Norwegian made it nine goals in eight days with another virtuoso attacking display to sink City legend Vincent Kompany’s Burnley and send the Premier League champions into the FA Cup semi-finals for the fifth year running.

Haaland was not satisfied at all by plundering five goals against RB Leipzig in the Champions League and struck twice in quick succession in the first half to bury runaway Championship leaders Burnley, who had made a promising start.

He completed his hat-trick in the second half, while Cole Palmer and a double from Julian Alvarez completed another rout for Pep Guardiola’s side.
