Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto received the Emir of Rano, Ambassador Kabir Muhammad Inuwa of Kano state who came to Sokoto with his entourage for Condolence and Sallah homage to Sultan of Sokoto.
The Governor represented by his deputy Alhaji Manir Dan Iya received the Emir and his entourage at Council chamber of the Sokoto state Government Sokoto in company of the Sa’in Kilgori , District head of Kilgori Dr Muh’d Jabbi Kilgori
His royal highness the Emir of Rano told the Governor that they were in Sokoto to condole his eminence the Sultan of Sokoto over the death of his Senior Brother late Alhaji Jeli Abubakar III the former Commissioner for home Affairs who died few months ago and as well to pay a Sallah homage to the Sultan after successful completion of Ramadan fast.
He said he also found it worthy to pay a similar condolence to the Government and good people of Sokoto state over the death of the late former member of the state executive Council.
He expressed delight with the excellent relationship that has been existing between the people of Rano Emirate and Sokoto state, which the Emir hope it would continue to wax stronger for the benefit of the two states and Nigeria at large.
In his remarks the Sokoto state Deputy Alhaji Mannir Dan Iya thanked the Emir of Rano and his entourage for the condolence visit and hope to inform the state Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal when he returns to the state from official engagement.
He prayed to Allah to sustain the cordial working relationship that exist for time immemorial between Sokoto, Rano Emirate and Kano state
In the entourage of the Emir of Rano Ambassador Kabiru Muhd Inuwa are the majority leader of the house of representatives honourable Alhassan Ado Doguwa (Sardaunan Rano), the Turakin Rano Alhaji Kabiru Alhassan Rurun, the Makaman Rano Alhaji Yahaya Isa, the managing Director of AA Rano Oil and Gas limited, Alhaji Musa Bashar Rahamaniyya, Chairman Rahamaniyya Oil and Gas limited and Zayyanu Musa Bashar Managing Director Zamson Oil and Gas limited among others.
At the Sokoto Government house to received the Emir and his entourage in company of the deputy Governor are the speaker of the state house of Assembly, honourable Aminu Muhammad Achida, his deputy, State PDP Chairman, Alhaji Muhammad Bello Aliyu Goronyo, the state Commissioner for Works, Alhaji Maidaji Sabon Birni, the Chairmen of Sokoto North, Sokoto South, Kware and Goronyo local Governments among Others.
