The Emir of Bichi Alhaji Nasir Ado Bayero has urged entire Nigerians to pray for the seek of Allah’s intervention in the power crisis in the Republic of Niger.
The Emir made the call while speaking during the annual Tijjaniya Zikiri and Prayers Organized recently in his palace.
Alhaji Nasir Ado Bayero OFR said the situation of the Niger Republic needs prayers and dialogue to resolve it amicably.
The Monarch then urged the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) under the leadership of President Bola Ahmad Tinubu to consider applying diplomatic strategies in resolving the crisis instead of using military forces.
Alhaji Nasir Ado Bayero OFR said applying forces into the matter will affect this country particularly neighbouring States with the Niger Republic like Jigawa, Katsina, Kebbi, Yobe, and Sokoto States.
He said the Niger Republic and Nigeria are brothers’ keepers in terms of religion, culture, and other day-to-day activities which need special prayers to protect against any attempt that would destroy them.
The Emir then expressed concern about the current hardship the people are facing in transportation, food, education, health care, and their other daily engagements and urged federal, State, and local Governments to take urgent action to improve the living conditions of Nigerians.
Alhaji Nasir Ado Bayero OFR spoke at length on the significance of reciting the holy Qur’an, names of Almighty Allah, and abiding by the teaching of Prophet Muhammad peace be upon Him in the lives of the Muslims Ummah.
He also said the annual gatherings were initiated by the Bichi Emirate to remind the people of the emirate and the entire Muslim Ummah the task ahead of them in abiding by the teaching of Islam in all their dealings.
He thanked the organizing committee of the occasion and all those who contributed towards its success and prayed that all Islamic Scholars and other guests who attended the session from various parts of the country return back to their respective destinations safely.
The gathering was rounded up with special prayers for the seek of the Almighty Allah to come to the end of security and social and economic challenges in the country.
