Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has declared the President of the Nigerian Labour Congress, Ayuba Wabba, and other top union heads wanted over alleged economic sabotage and attacks on public infrastructure in his state.
The Union had on Monday shutdown the state over plans to sack 11,000 workers. The State government on Monday debunked the allegation.
According to NLC, the protest is expected to last for five days.
Governor El-rufa’I in a tweet on Tuesday placed an undisclosed reward for information on the whereabout of Comrade Ayuba Wabba and other top union heads.
The tweet reads:
“Ayuba Wabba and others of NLC Headquarters declared wanted for economic sabotage and attacks on public infrastructure under Miscellaneous Offences Act.
“Anyone that knows where he is hiding should send a message to @MOJKaduna. KDSG. There will be a handsome reward.”
