Wife of the Sokoto State Governor, Hajiya Mariya Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has held an extraordinary and special dinner with the children of the state Orphanage home in grand style.
The dinner which was held under the auspices of her pate project, Mariya Tambuwal Development Initiative was aimed at bringing succour and sense of belonging to the children of the orphanage home.
During the dinner, the first lady mingled and jubilate with the kids in grand style.
While addressing the children during the dinner, her excellency, Hajiya Mariya Aminu Waziri Tambuwal said she would continue to support and show love and affection to orphans and children of the less privilege in the state and urged well meaning individuals in the society to do same for the benefit of humanity.
The dinner is said to be part of the Governor’s wife commitment towards the improvement of orphans welfare in the state.
The event which took place at orphanage home beside Government House Sokoto, availed the first lady herself the opportunity to grace the occasion in style.
It brought together women higher calibre in the state and come women chieftains of PDP, including commissioners, special advisors, directors, as well as former and newly appointed PDP women leader, among others.
It could be recalled that, it was inline with the first lady’s attitude of visiting the orphans regularly, and her concern to them led to her been declared as (Uwar Marayu), meaning “mother of motherless.”
In Islam, the impact of assisting people in need especially the orphans cannot be overemphasized, as the Almighty Allah pledged to build a mansion in paradise exclusively for those having the habit of assisting and taking care of the orphans and less privileged children in the society.
