Eid-El-Kabir: ‘Football is the sole tool that promotes national peace, unity in Nigeria’ – NLO

The Nationwide League One, NLO, Wednesday in its Eid Kabir felicitation message has described football as the major tool that promotes national peace and unity in Nigeria.

Nigeria’s third-tier league in its congratulation message to Muslims as they mark  Eid Kabir Muslim festivities said football has remained the center of gravity in promoting and enhancing peace in the national life of Africa’s largest nation.

The NLO Media Officer II, Abdulgafar Oladimeji speaking on a special  Edi Kabir Hausa radio show in Kano said ” NLO Chief Operating Officer, COO, Shola Ogunnowo and the entire members of staff of NLO  extends their Sallah greetings to Muslims across the globe, specifically the football and sports fraternity in general.

“NLO says Barka Da Sallah to all Muslims, barka da Sallah to the football family.

“Football remains the undisputed factor that has strengthened our unity as a nation, it is our convergence point as a nation at all times, no doubt

“Football promotes peace, no doubt about that, at NLO we are conservative about this important fact of our national life and we hold this as part of our principles, in high esteem.

“As we mark this special occasion, we implore everyone, in our fraternity and beyond to continue to uphold those virtues of the game that promotes our spiritual life and national development.

“NLO wishes you all barka da Sallah,  in the spirit of the game, with innovations being introduced into the NLO by the COO and his team, the league and the game at large,  can only get better, from our end, at the NLO.

Happy Eid. May almighty  Allah in His infinite mercy  accept all  the sacrifices made by the Muslim faithful and grant His people forgiveness, mercy, and the wisdom to conduct their affairs in His fears.” Abdulgafar said.
