Dutse Emirate Group Donates Laptop Computers to Students

Dutse Emirate Development Association has donated 35 laptop computers to higher institution students to enhance their academic learning.

Speaking to newsmen, after distributing the computers, the Chairman of the group, Khadi Jibrin Gantsa (Rtd.) said, the gesture is part of efforts to support educational development in the Emirate.

The Chairman who spoke through the Secretary of the association, Dr. Ado Garba Jangargar explained that, they chose student from less privilege families who are in dire need of the computers.

“Today learning and other academic activities are gradually shifting to digital and we are optimistic that, the provision of these computers will help the students to pursue their studies easily.

“With these computers they would have access to millions of free online books, journals and other academic research works relevant to their area of discipline,” Jangargari declared.

The Secretary however revealed that, the Senator representing Jigawa Central, Sen. Sabo Nàkidu supplied the computers to the DEDA for onward distribution.

He then expressed the determination of the group to join hands with individual, institutions, politicians and government for education, social and economic development of the Emirate.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, a level III student, Abdul’Aziz Umar Jahun of Federal University Dutse expressed their appreciation to the group and promised to make best use of the computers.

“This gesture will remain indelible in our minds and we will do our best to sustained this chain of kindness to humanity,” Jahun declared.
