Cubana Chiefpriest Is Arrested By EFCC For Misuse Of Naira

Due to naira misuse, Pascal Okechukwu, also known as Cuban Chiefpriest, is a well-known bartender and social media influencer who has reportedly been arrested by agents of the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The celebrity will be arraigned by the anti-graft agency before Judge Kehinde Ogundare of the Federal High Court in Lagos on Wednesday, April 17, 2024.
The Cuban Chief Priest will be charged with three counts by the EFCC for allegedly violating the Central Bank Act of 2007 by spraying and tampering with Naira notes during a social gathering.

The executive chairman of the anti-graft Commission, Rotimi Oyedepo (SAN), and seven other attorneys filed a complaint on April 4 alleging that Okechukwu Pasca on February 13, 2024, at the Eko Hotel, within the jurisdiction of the court, while dancing during a social event, tampered with funds in the denomination of N500 (Five Hundred Naira) notes issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria by spraying same for two hours, and thereby committed an offence, contrary to and punishable under Section 21(1) of the Central Bank Act 2007.

According to an EFCC source who talked with LIB, Cubana Chiefpriest has been taken into custody following her detention.
The EFCC source stated that Chiefpriest will appear in court tomorrow, April 17, but did not specify when he was arrested.
