Covid-19 Vaccine: Kano Exco Members Vaccinated at Council Meeting

Members of the Kano State Executive Council, were vaccinated under the directive of the Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, Friday, amid council meeting, at Africa House, Government House, Kano.

Governor Ganduje gave the directive taking the jab during the flag-off exercise, at Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital, adding that local government chairmen should take lead before administering it down to members of the society.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Abba Anwar in a signed statement said some commissioners who were vaccinated alongside the governor during the flagged-off did not take part in yesterday’s vaccination exercise during the Exco meeting.

Those who were vaccinated were other members of the State Executive Council and Governor’s Aides.

Governor Ganduje assured that the state would make good use of the vaccination exercise to hasten the process for “…isolating Covid-19 pandemic in the state.”

“We are calling on people to cooperate with health workers who are responsible for the exercise, adding that, “So far so good, we have started on sound footing. As far as this exercise is concerned,” he said.

He further assured that, the Vaccine is safe and aimed at strengthening and consolidating “…our fight against Covid-19 pandemic, adding that by the special grace of Almighty Allah we are going to win the fight against this virus,” he encouraged.
