Counterfeit: KSCPC Impounds Drugs Worth N300m

Kano State Consumer Protection Council has impounded counterfeit drugs worth three hundred-million-naira, Tuesday night.

The Acting Managing Director of the council (Dr) Baffa Babba Dan’agundi while displaying the drugs to newsmen said the council got the information from a Kano whistle blower about a warehouse where the drugs are stored in Muhammadu Abubakar Rimi Market, Sabongari, Kano.

The Ag. Managing director who was represented by the SSA 1 to the Governor on KAROTA, Nasiru Usman Na’ibawa said teams of volunteer inspectors with security back up stormed the market at about 9:30pm last Tuesday immediately after receiving the information.

He added that the council will not relent in its effort toward making Kano State free of counterfeit drugs.

While commending people for their cooperation, he called for continued support for the council to achieve its objectives.
