Class of 2001 Donates Solar Water Pumping Machine to FGC Kano

The Federal Government Collage Kano Old Students Association (FGCKOSA) class of 2001 has launched and donated a Solar Pumping Machine and Panel to the college.

FGCKOSA The President of the Class, Usman Suleiman Sarki said the project is aimed at ameliorating water problem bedeviling the school.

Sarki presented the solar water pumping machine and panel to the principal, Federal Government Collage (FGC) during its 20th Anniversary and Annual General Meeting held on Friday at the school premises.

While presenting the equipment, he explained that more development initiatives are coming as the association is making efforts to give back to college that trained its members to be what they are today.

The President also reiterated the importance of old students’ associations in uplifting the status of their former school.  

The Principal, FGC Kano, Alhaji Bello Rabe thanked the association and assured that the equipment will be used appropriately.

He further explained that several projects were executed by old students’ association during his time and he expects more.

Those in attendance includes members of class 2001, the six-vice principals of the college, National Secretary of the association, representatives of class 1995 and 2006.

Stallion Times report that during the meeting, decision taken includes; votes of confidence for the outgoing EXCO to continue for a second term.

Also, five members were appointed to form a committee to review the existing constitution of Class 2001 Chapter.

The Congress gave approval to the president to appoint five Congress members into the expanded executive committee.
