BUA Hands Over People Oriented Project to Host Communities

The BUA Cement Company Sokoto has handed over projects worth several millions of naira to host communities Sokoto aimed at improving the already existing cordial relationship between the community and the BUA cement. 

The projects are two blocks of six classrooms, administrative block, a clinic and a daily prayer Mosque are part of the BUA cement corporate social responsibility to host communities.

Speaking at the handing over ceremony in Gidan Bailu/Dacci resettlement villages of Wamakko local Government, the Managing Director of the company, Engineer Yusuf Haliru Binji said BUA have been supporting its host communities with numerous development projects ranging from Clinics, Electrification, housing and scholarship for indigenes of the area wishing to further their education.

He said the communities of Gidan Bailu and Dacci villages have been in close contact with BUA cement Sokoto peacefully since when the company took ownership of former Cement company of Northern Nigeria Sokoto.

The Managing Director, further conveyed the warm greetings of the Chairman, Board of Directors, BUA Group, Alhaji Abdussamad Isiyaka Rabiu to the host communities for their peaceful nature, cooperation and understanding

He said BUA group would continue to bring even development to all its host communities for the betterment of their lives.

He also thanked Wamakko Local Government Area (LGA), the State Ministry of Land and Housing for their sustained support and cooperation to the activities of the BUA cement company.

Earlier in his address, the District head of Kalambaina Alhaji Abubakar Kalambaina represented by Sardaunan Kalambaina thanked the management of BUA group for their kind gesture to the host communities.

He said Gidan Bailu and Dacci communities would ever remain grateful to BUA group for bringing development to their communities.

He said efforts would be made by the two communities to safe guard the infrastructures put in by BUA against vandals and other men of the underworld.

In avatar of thanks, the Chairman of Wamakko LGA, Honourable Bello Haliru Guiwa expressed appreciation to BUA group behalf of the people of Wamakko for its support over the years.

He appealed to the company not to relent in its desire to bring development to the area, adding that BUA has been supporting the communities with cement, medicaments, road projects, Mosque, clinic, scholarships for indigenes of the area as well as gainful employments.

He however called on the communities to remain peaceful and continue to cooperate with BUA group in its quest to develop their communities.

According to the chairman Wamakko LGA would continue to cooperate and support the activities of BUA group with a view to achieve the desired goals of establishing the company in the area.
