Bichi People of Malikawa Garu town in Bichi local government area of Kano state have commended the efforts of member representing Bichi constituency in the National Assembly, Engineer Abba Kabiru Abubakar Bichi for the commencement of the multi million-naira Dam project.
The commendation was made by the village head of the town Alhaji Lurwanu Idris Malikawa Garu during a special prayer organised by the people of the area at the site of the Dam project.
Alhaji Lurwanu Idris Malikawa Garu says: “The commendation become necessary considering that the people of the area are in need of the project for long period of time”.
The village head says if the project is completed successfully it will assist tremendously in promoting the socio-economic development of his people and entire Bichi local government area.
He says people of the town are short of words in thanking Engineer Abba Kabiru Abubakar Bichi because of the project; the special prayer is to thank Almighty Allah for making their dream a reality and guide the path of Engr, Kabir in all his endeavours.
Alhaji Lurwanu Idris Malikawa Garu also expressed delight on how the contractor of project is handling the work and urged him to sustain the tempo for its completion before the rainy season.
He assured the support and cooperation of his subjects to the government policies, programs and any move that would assist in moving the area forward.
The session was rounded up with prayer for the Allah’s intervention on the current security and socio-economic situation in the country.
