Bandits Abducted Many in Kebbi, Kill 13, One Police, Two Army Personnel

Barely one week after the release of the second batch of FGC Birnin Yauri students, killings and abductions resurfaced with a huge number of bandits invading Dankade village in Zuru Emirate of Kebbi state, killing at least 16 people including one policeman and two army personnel on Friday

According to the spokesperson, Kebbi State Police Command, DSP Nafi’u Abubakar the bandits were engaged by police and the military forcing them to leave their targets.

He explained that the bandits, through another route invaded Dankade village where they killed at least 16 people, including one policeman, two soldiers, and some yet-to-be ascertained number of people were abducted.

“Bandits also set several houses and shops ablaze.

“The Kebbi state police Commissioner, CP Musa Baba has since mobilized armed officers and men to the scene of the incident for an on-the-spot assessment of damages and restore normalcy in the affected village,” he added.
