Kebbi State Governor, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu and Chairman Progressives Governors’ Forum, was in Jega on Tuesday for a condolence visit to the family of Alhaji Bello Maikaji.
A statement by Special Adviser (SA) Media to Governor Bagudu, Yahaya Sarki said the Late Alhaji Bello Maikaji died this Monday of a protracted illness at Federal Medical Centre Birnin Kebbi.
“I prayed to Allah to forgive him and grant him eternal rest in Aljannat Firdaus, amin,” the Governor prayed.
He also consoled the family by praying to the Almighty Allah to give them the formidable fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
In his response, the eldest son of the deceased, AIG Kano Zone, Sadiq Bello appreciated the visit of the governor on behalf of their entire family.
According to the statement, the deceased, Alhaji Bello Maikaji, died at the age of 91, leaving behind three wives and six children, among whom are AIG Sadiq Bello and Aminu Bello, a former Deputy Comptroller of Immigration Services.
The governor was accompanied on the visit by Chief of Staff Government House, Birnin Kebbi, Alhaji Suleiman Muhammad Argungu (Jarman Kabi)
