Ahead of their quarterfinal matchup with Simba, the head coach of Al Ahly, Marcelo Koller, stressed the value of being focused and avoiding arrogance.

Even though they defeated the Tanzanian team 1-0 in the first leg, Koller advised his players to be grounded and concentrate on the job at hand.

Koller emphasized the need for his teammates to play with humility and focus throughout the game, highlighting the distinction between confidence and arrogance. In the locker room, he reaffirmed this message to the team, stressing the need to stay focused until the last whistle.

Che Malone, the defender for Simba, highlighted that players alone, independent of outside influences like spectator behavior, control how the game is played.

Malone underlined that winning over the fans would ultimately come from putting on a great show on the field.

Al Ahly is still focused on earning a trip to the competition’s final four as they get ready for the pivotal second leg. All eyes will be on the defending champions’ performance in the forthcoming encounter as they look to win the championship for the twelfth time in their history.
