Kano Announces 2025 Hajj Deposit, Seat Allocation

On Monday, the Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, officially announced the 2025 Hajj deposit for intending pilgrims from the state as directed by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

He said NAHCON has set the deposit for the 2025 Hajj at eight million, four hundred thousand Naira (₦8,400,000) only.

Danbappa made this pronouncement during a meeting with the Local Government Hajj Center Officers at his office.

The Director General said the Board will commence the collection of deposits through bank drafts submitted through Local Government Hajj Center Officers.

“The collection will continue until the closing date, which will be announced alongside the final Hajj fare,” he added.

The DG urged all intending pilgrims to ensure timely payments by the schedule provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the 2025 Hajj.

He further emphasized that intending pilgrims are required to submit eight passport-sized photographs, a valid international passport, and a personal bank account for proper identification.

Rabi’u added that NAHCON has allocated four thousand three hundred fifty-six (4,356) Hajj seats to Kano State, which will be distributed across all local governments in the state.

In his remarks, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Yusif Lawan, prayed to Almighty Allah to grant all intending pilgrims the means and opportunity to make their Hajj payments without hardship.

He also called on Local Government Hajj Center Officers to work diligently day and night to ensure that the allocated seats for their respective areas are secured and properly managed.
