The Special Adviser, Media to the Governor, Ahmed Idris in a statement said he made the call Tuesday when he received the Sarki Zabarumawa Gwandu, Alhaji Ali Mustapha Haliru on a courtesy in Government House, Birnin Kebbi.

The governor observed that the journey was not only for him alone, hence the need for traditional rulers and the entire people of Kebbi State to come forward with positive inputs that would propel the growth and development of the state.

According to him, the role of the traditional rulers who are fathers to all in any administration is critical in governance, saying: “As I promised during our campaign era, the essence of government is to execute projects and at the same time empower people.”

The governor thanked all the visitors for their show of solidarity and assured them that he would never let them down.

Earlier, the Sarki Zabarumawa Gwandu Ali Mustapha Haliru told the Governor that the essence of the courtesy call was to rejoice and celebrate with him on the just concluded swearing-in as Kebbi State Governor.

“We are your brothers and we are ready to work with you in any ramifications, we supported you during the elections and we shall continue to support your policies and programs to achieve the desired objective,” he added.
